Long Week

Started a slight diversion – I couldn’t keep away from the cashmere yarn from NYC:) and when I saw this lacy scarf in Piecework magazine, I couldn’t resist. It was something fun to start – just a distraction because tomorrow I get going on finishing that sweater:)

It’s funny. Since last I wrote in the wee hours of the morning, I got to bed at about 4 a.m., woke up bolt out of bed at 8 a.m., ran downstairs, cleaned up the kitchen (!), took a shower got dressed and out the door by 9 to arrive at court by 9:30. Had the Morning Docket from Hell (just kidding), went to a luncheon meeting at CASA with my colleagues, then home to prep for today’s cases.
I did stop by one of my favorite LYSs to cash in on the gift certificate I got for my birthday and came away with back issues of Piecework, Crochet Today!, and Crochet Fantasy, one beautiful skein of superwash sock yarn and two of recycled sari silk. I’ll take pics as I start to make something out of them (the yarn, the yarn, not the magazines!).
I then headed home to get my choir stuff together and to drop off the scarf for Diane before practice (she was rehearsing with the children’s choir when I got there). While waiting for choir practice to begin, I did some more work on the crocheted baby blankie.
After practice, we had a lovely little party and conversation. It was nice to catch up with everyone. After getting home, I tried to stay up but the night before finally got to me.
This morning it was the same routine again – and off to an almost-full day of court. Then home.
Lately I look around at the mess that surrounds me but I’m too wiped out to do anything about it. So, it’s bedtime and in the morning time to get things straightened out. If all goes well, I’m going to see the Rutter Gloria sung by Concert Artists of Baltimore. That is always a lovely pleasure.
Next week will be really really busy at work, so this weekend i’ll have to do some serious planning.
OK, boring stuff. Sorry. ahm tard. Seriously though – gotta get back to walking when the weather improves – that gave me a lot of energy and that I could use right now.
Good night, angels+

  1. Walking in sunlight is *always* a good thing! It’s good to recieve energy and the excercise is healthy too. 🙂

    Nice scarf too!

  2. Thanks Kristina! I love the result, but it doesn’t go well with red wine, so….
My Mt. Everest is intarsia. Don’t know why but it scares the sh*t out of me!
