It's been a rollercoaster week emotionally and musically! On the work front, it's been totally nuts – have so much to do and so little time to do it in – but Heaven forfend I should get moving, LOL!
Last Sunday, we performed the Mozart Requiem. I'm happy to say Betsy came to see it. I feel somewhat foolish saying this, but it was so wonderful to see a friendly face coming in the door! There's something like someone from home coming to see you that means so much. I felt like crying – silly me! I had to clip parts of my choir score to avoid turning too many pages, so…. I put in there pictures of my kids and grandkids! Something nice to look at while listening to something beautiful (the four amazing professional soloists!). We also had a professional orchestra accompany us. They made us sound better than we were, I'm sure!
Yesterday, was supposed to get a major project done, but sleeping, driving kids to work and home and client visits put me in no-woman's land! Did have a great conversation with Kris, though!
This Sunday, we sing the Requiem again, this time in College Park at St. Andrew's Church. I'm carpooling today (driving) Virginia, Francie and Mary and maybe Alison to CP for the rehearsal and maybe tomorrow for the concert. They will have a choice of Laura Nyro or Aretha's (does she need a last name?) Greatest. I am pushing for Aretha. As Paul says, she's a goddess! Listening to her is better than sex. I'm serious! (sorry John).
The cool part about this time of year is that we will be going directly to Christmas music. Yay!
I'm such a nerd:)
On the knitting front, I'm about done with that cable vest – getting to the home stretch – and – who knows – it just may FIT!!!!!
Can life get any better than this?
'til next time…..
